WHY A SEARCH ENGINE GIANT WANTS TO COMPETE WITH AMAZON SHOPPING

From the title itself, you might have already guessed it right. A search engine giant that has joined the Online Shopping industry.

Google will be competing with also another giant, Amazon Shopping or also known as Amazon Online Shopping, eBay Online Shopping, Alibaba Online Shopping or also known as Aliexpress Online Shopping.

There are other online merchants that are growing as online shopping business continues to increase.

GOOGLE, with its core busines search engine and advertising has decided to compete in the online shopping arena with its GOOGLE SHOPPING.

“ Google has once again demonstrated its strength in its core search business with revenue up 25 percent year-on-year at US$32.5 billion. In particular, Google Sites’ revenue rose 26 percent to US$23.3 billion while network revenue increased 14 percent to US$4.8 billion. The strong growth was driven by mobile search, YouTube and desktop search.”

Retail Grocery Giants Carrefour, China JD.com, Walmart, Costco, Target, Walgreens, Petsmart have partnered with the search engine giant, forming a shopping experience through its Google Express, Google Shopping projects.

There is not doubt that Google Shopping's presence will be felt and remains to be seen how it is going to compete and capture a share of the online shopping market.
